Will I need to have my hazmats before leasing onto Landstar?

To be accepted you will need to have at least done the fingerprinting so you can submit a copy of the receipt. Then assuming you are accepted you will have something like 60 days to get your actual endorsement.

    kenn2632 and Dwardell662 Thank this.

Don't mean to hijack your thread but out of pure curiosity did Landstar start a power only division?? Seen at least 5 different trucks in Orlando to Miami area pulling Landstar trailers clearly not leased to them like normal judging by no Landstar decals or typical truck numbers in the past week. 6 if you count the guy that just started parking in my yard 3 days ago...

We have always had power only freight for both the approved (outside carriers) and BCO (Landstar) Drivers.

I read the requirements on the recruiting pamphlet they sent me today and it said you needed to have either Hazmat or combination endorsement. I don't believe you need the Hazmat how do you figure that you need hazmat? If you say that Landstar requires Hazmat then that means the pamphlet that I read today was wrong that the recruiter sent to me
