I assume your talking about the new gen 2018. I got a brand new 2018 in May, but mine is the same body style as the 17.
Mine doesn't have external antennas. It's some kind of internal deal. I notice I don't get much range with it, however. Maybe a mile at most, probably less.
I may have to break down and buy an antenna.

Yeap talkin bout the 18's....Mirrors are different so the mounts for earlier styles aint gonna work..
Need a entirely new mount..
You can always mount somethin out back in the grab rail but its not gonna be alot better than your internal..
Company new 18's are not do it in till sometime in feb or march so i still got time to find somethin.. -
If it's any consolation, this will give you a perfect swr on any channel.

That would be a resistor aka a dummy load.
rabbiporkchop and mike5511 Thank this. -
Anybody got a picture of the new Cascadia mirror? I made my mount out of stainless steel. I'm wondering if you could modify it, or will it need to be completely redone? Glad we went to the KWs, they are better out of the box than the Frieghtliner could ever be. I drove one that had phenomenal ears. The radio wasn't much so I'm giving all the credit to the antenna system.... completely stock! It heard at least as good as my 7ft Skip Shooter on the Freightliner.

Just an FYI, I know there may be a quick need to run out and get ceramic power resistors but make sure they are not wire-wound or inductive resistors. YOU want carbon ceramic power resistors.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
