My business is located in New Castle, DE area.

If I were to lease onto a carrier, which ones are the top choices these days for northeast area?

Also, does anyone know a carrier that would allow someone to lease on a fleet instead of a single owner operator?

When i pulled tanker for Schneider, all winter I stayed running NE.
Now they have pick and choose loads on bulkside as well, may check in with them.
Coraopolis PA would be nearest bulk training facility

Thank you both. Looks like two votes for schneider. They must have a great o/o program.

Anyone know of a company that will let you lease on and hire a driver?

I’m sure Schneider would, ask them.

Landstar, IF you go through headaches of doing onboarding process with LS, gotta have hazmat and twic.
They’ll have to do orientation at either company.

Is the LS hiring process really that demanding? Sheesh.

I have the endorsements so that's definitely a plus. I will definitely ask schneider

Schneider says yes, but they would have to approve the driver first before you can get your company & truck approved.

About 30 days before your hear anything from LS after submitting application.
Then go to Operations Center nearby(outside Atlanta or Ft Worth) then do hazmat test then wait 3-5 days for a trailer.

    Fastbreakstar22 Thanks this.

Make sure your truck can pass the Schneider requirements. There's information on their web site. I got hung on having a sliding 5th wheel......had to buy one. Other than that, it was pretty seamless.
Good luck. I had a very good experience as a Schneider owner (and lease too).

Did you choose the AIR board or the Percentage board?
