I take back what I said. Actually either flat or Van is what you make it. Which has more volume then it's Flat

Yes I did, now I'm going thru it backwards to find info for the last year, but thanks for your concern.
Thank you, I appreciate your input. I take it your pulling a flat. I see a lot of steps, how's the freight for them? Does mercer have enough step loads to make it worth the weight issue? Anyhow, thanks again.
    Some is, some isn't.

Can you tell us what your average per mile has been and what area(s) you run the most? How long have you been pulling a van for Mercer?

    Speed_Drums Thanks this.

Been pulling van here 2 years. My average rate per mile varies on the seasons. I stay on I-10 in the winter so it's lower, during the summer all I run is Canada so it's much higher then most vans here.

I run a lot of West coast freight & a lot of Canadian freight. That's what works for me. Everyone has to find their niche here. If you wanna stay in the same 10 state area you can do it if you have very little overhead.

Mercer is a flatbed company. That is what 99% of people forget when they lease on here pulling van. You will not make the same money as a flat in a calendar year. This is not your typical van company. It's difficult to learn the lanes & stay productive until you find what works best for you.
