Leaving KLLM

I will be looking to leave KLLM in about a month and just making some preparations before I leave. I live in Houston and am a L/P driver.

I would like to return the truck to the Lancaster terminal close to Dallas. Lease is walk away lease. However when I was in orientation they said if we leave the company we need to return the truck to the Jackson, MS terminal. If I left the truck at the Lancaster terminal when I leave is it possible to put abandonment on my DAC even though the truck was returned to a company terminal?

 

Thanks, for the info. I will ask them if it possible to leave at Lancaster terminal. If they say no then I will ask them for load to Jackson, MS and return there and have my wife meet me there in our vehicle.

 

Does anyone that has experience with KLLM know how they are about giving back maintenance account monies. Do they look for any reason and keep it for chicken s*** reasons or are they good about returning it as long as there is normal wear and tear as stated in the contract. My truck is in tip top shape have done all regular maintenance and have receipts to show of maintenance work done.

 

Yea read the contract says 45 days maybe its changed, 45 days i am ok with. Good to hear they are fair. Thanks for the info
