I use my cruise on long construction zones like the one on I65 in Kentucky. Set it to 59 mph and let the radar do it's thing while I watch porno clips or youtube.

Yes you are right I got my start at Swift. Everything I know about trucking I learned at Swift. They have Top Gun type training simulators, they send out safety videos on the qualcomm weekly and have little kiosks in all the terminals where you can scan your paperwork and before you get your next load you have to again log in and watch a safety video. They also have a Swift University website for the drivers to again log in and take online classes and pass little quizzes which go into your file. All in all the Swift drivers you see out there are tip of the spear sharp on their safety skills and the drivers who leave Swift spread out into the trucking community like a massive safety virus improving highway safety by their very presence on the roads.

If you watch the video it wasn't quite the work zone yet. The speed limit had dropped from 75 to 60 coming into Amarillo, not sure if you ever been through that area. Anyway, I hit Coast on the cruise from 70 down to 60 and all these truckers like a feeding frenzy start passing me up racing into the cone zone as you can see by the video. The main place you shouldn't be using your cruise control is inclement weather.

I wasn't the one racing into the work zone. I set my speed to 59 in the upcoming 60 zone and all these other trucks raced in to get ahead of me like they were losing time off their lifeclocks. JCT was dead wrong in this scenario and should have backed off and tucked in way before as he had ample warning that the Left Lane was closing. You want to talk about an idiot, just look at JCT here.

The dashcam only shows what is in front of the truck and a few degrees to the side, I assure you this JCT was not going to back down, he simply was not going to be denied getting in front of me no matter what.
