I run the north east 5 dats a week. Try running the right lane in Connecticut on I95 sometime. It isn't pretty.

    Laws are crazy.
Through trucks should be in far left lanes away from merging traffic.
Where one can maintain speed, not be with the majority of traffic slowing, stopping on end of ramps because they can’t get there car out there, so they stop at the end or on shoulder at end of ramp, we’ve all seen it.

Other way thru traffic is away and don’t deal with that, but!!!
What about the lawmakers, they’re wanting to drive fast and go home, so they outlaw the big stupid slow truck.
(Who made the slow lane for truck ie Memphis, 65-70/car 55 truck)
Then complain about the slow truck and fustercluck.

I make the granny merging 4 wheelers that don’t know how to merge eat the shoulder. Traffic already traveling in the highway has right of way. I only move over for the trucks because they can’t help it. Only ones you gotta watch out for is the ones that’ll definitely merge in before you get past the merge point if you’re coming up to him quick it’s time to move over.

Bunch of those in NJ that have that mindset. It’s become the norm to pass the road hogs from the right and they end up having to see a couple near misses when the truck passing them from the right has to cut in front of him to squeeze past before they get slowed down by the UPS truck or port truck doing 55.

There are a lot of places that have multi lane roads with no truck restrictions. I still try to stay out of the left lane but at times it it the safest place for through traffic to run.

Ive always been of the mind that the middle or left lane is the place for through traffic (that can maintain the speed limit)... But then again, I live out west were there are actually signs that say as much.

Agreed. Many of those AH’s in Jersey hog the left and middle lane and I fly right by them in the right lane. On the 206, they have no problem speeding, cutting you off when the lane splits from 1 to 2 back to 1 and then drive Mrs. Daisy the rest of the way.

Talking lane hogs, I can’t stand Maryland. I will never travel through that sea of AH drivers again whether in a 4 wheeler or a rig.

Run whatever lane you want, but if traffic is passing you on the right you should probably realize you’re in the wrong lane.

There are still states without left lane restrictions, NH, NY north of Albany, OH,
it’s one of those things you really can’t give a blanket statement on IMO, flowing with traffic in the city is one thing, it’s the guy doing 5-10 under in the middle with no one around him that drives me nuts, just to have them go back by in the far left lane next construction zone, or the right lane if it may be the one restricted, pulling a 65 mph hill at 34 mph (I78 special) drives me insane. If you start getting passed on the right you are the problem

merging is also the same, if I’m already in the lane I simply crawl along until I get a open slot at slightly lower/higher then the rest of the other traffic, however I will not get over to specifically blow by everyone in the ending lane if I’m not already In it

none of this is as overly complicated as so many Try to make it seem
