Although my collision mitigation system saved me big time once, that was good enough for me to keep it around. Our company gives us the option to disable them if we want. Did that Tesla driver try suing after? I'm kind of curious since it's hit fault.
That guy was likely sleeping, impaired, or not paying attention. What automated feature would protect from that?
I haven't heard anything from safety other than it was not my fault. I haven't been served with papers, don't know about the company but I assume he didn't sue. He admitted it was his fault to the cop that showed up.
how do we know the brakes didn't fail? looks like he swerved a bit before colliding, so something was up. its hard to tell, but it also looks like he put his hazards on a few seconds before hitting too strange.
Went pass there not 30 mins before that. With the construction going on in that area you'd think the idiot might have seen the warnings about lane shifts and slow traffic signs. Oh wait a minute Yuba City that is all that needs to be said
I Dont see the hazard lights, looked two more times. And explain to me how brakes fail in that situation? Flat ground, plenty of look ahead time?
Quite the imagination you have! No flashers, that was flashing high beams....why(?),maybe to try to get the car to move out of his way. Yeah he started to swerve then came back and no slowing unti lafter collision, not the first hit but the third vehicle, then you can see him dive down (nose of truck) which means brakes applied ... too late......guess the phone call or movie was more important. 10 years I put up with thoe idiots driving for Legend....they need to be shut down, all aspects of the whole company, that driver will be in prison....the owners and management should be also!
File bankruptcy, change name of company, start using another of the 30 MC # you bought for such events, then back to business as usual.
