I'll never forget the day I got my CDL and the day I got qualified and in my own trk,I cried. When I took the test for DMV he goes, you passed,I said sir can I give you a hug.Don't think he minded too much, lol. After going thru training with Werner I took test there with the hardest instructor and knew once I hit the backing between 2 trailers alley dock style with only one pull up he'd pass me.I gave him a hug too, lol. That would be one awesum bday gift to yourself to have your CDL,i'm rooting for you.

It's going pretty good. We started up there on Monday doing straightline backing, that afternoon some of us got a demo on double clutching. On Tuesday we were out driving on the road. IT IS SCAREY AS HELL!!! LOL!! All those cars out there! I have a new appreciation for truck drivers. I just keep in mind that all those people I see driving trucks had to start somewhere. When I got back to the range I learned offside backing and parallel parking. Once I got it figured out it all made sense. Tomorrow our range instructor is gonna start testing us out. I think I'll need another day or so to get that parallel parking down. Things are really coming along. I have the 4 point brake check down by heart and I'm working on the pre-trip. I have the eGears pre-trip video and it is really helping. A new class started on monday and they had about 30 but by the Tuesday (D.O.T. physical) half of them were gone!

Sounds good, I looked into stevens and they seem to be a good company. And any way it goes getting your own schooling gives you a lot more choices. I gotta cut it short because I'm in the cab of the truck and it's hard to text while being jerked around.
