Some of these kinds of things do happen. I had to help an older gentleman learn the ELD when I was employed at SRT. He did good when he went on his own and when he saw me again, he thanked me for all of my help.

Not the worst by far. But they will beat you to death as well. Not to mention the tight schedules that usually come with it.

Don't feel bad, they claim i never worked for em despite going through their school, got 30 people and paperwork that says otherwise, they just pretend they dont know you the moment you walk out the door and almost impossible to get a work verification for them, you dodged a bullet

I think there's still some dinosaurs that aren't tech savvy and they get anxiety over it. The hardest thing for me with elds are the asinine rules, like when you can or can't pause. Etc. the device itself is like any other tablet. Heck the 1st iphone i ever saw was owned by an 80 yr old lady who was travelling on a motorcycle. Showed me some pics and I was amazed.

I assume he gave up. But they probably had limited time to spend on that

you been a member here since Sept of 2023..???

in all that time, nearly a full 2 years now, you hadn't read the "bad trucking companies" section, and learnt where NOT to go..??

i don't feel sorry for you, for even applying AND getting accepted in the first place.

had you been an avid reader of this site, you would have been long ago fully warned....

i, at the very least, think you going to orientation showed you wanted to work, but you should have asked in orientation what you were going to do, and what you ACTUALLY applied for, and in the end, you were responsible for what happened to you

case in point, i do believe PST flatbed, out of Orem, UT is out of business. long. long ago...

they had all new red Volvo sleepers at the time, which if i recall, they were the "new integral" type not a add on box sleeper, like all the others of the time.....and hauled for John Deere and piping for the oil fields, as some of what i recall they hauled.

i applied to them, and was told over the phone..."yes, we will get you home, we go into New England ALL THE TIME"

1st day of orientation..?? "we will TRY to get you home"

2nd day of orientation..?? "we might be able to get you home"....

3rd day of orientation...??? "we don't go no where near New England"

"then why did you tell me lies from the application phone call......'? exactly what i asked to the orientation class instructor...he had NO answer

Noontime..??? i was on an American Airlines flight back to RI.....

got a better job, doing an east coast run...home weekly too.

Going from doing really no physical work to very physical work is quite a huge change. They didn't even agree to doing that before arriving they got him door saying he's OTR and then when he gets in they tell him he's doing teams or physical work. If someone said that to me I would have walked. Those dollar accounts are garbage I am told and locations are terrible I see new driver every week at one near my house. I am not sure the reason but I know they tear of the lawn in front of it everytime because there's no space otherwise to back it and there's a big curb too so they messing something up everytime they hit it...
