I'm a light sleeper as well, but you'll be surprised how fast you can get used to the reefer running, Most of the time, when the reefer is on cycle run, I'll put it on continuously, this way I will not notice the start and stop threw the night
luvtotruck and TrukTuff Thank this. -
Wait till you're making a Walmart drop and you wake up in a cold sweat panic because it's too quiet.
Then you remember you dropped your trailer.

I cannot confirm or deny this is a true story, but I know the answer LOL.Arkansas Frost, 25(2)+2, TrukTuff and 4 others Thank this. -

One time I was on a Tyson load I set my alarm for Central time which I ran on. I forgot I crossed barely over into the Eastern time zone. The dispatcher called me about 10 minutes before my 2 am appointment. Blah, blah, blah, they are on Eastern time, if you are late you will be fined $400 by Tyson, blah, blah, blah!! Click, Varoom, out of the parking lot I flew as the customer was on the other side of the interstate. The light at the off ramp turned red!
. F the red light after no soul in sight!.... Varooom!!! I made it with 2 minutes to spare. That was my fastest check in. The clerk was laughing because she was talking with our night dispatcher watching it unfold from the guard shack.

OK I'll tell my most alarming delivery I ever had, Had a 03:45 delivery at Wal-Mart in Paul's valley, OK I awoke around 06:30 jump out of the bunk in a frantic state and tied to check in, Only to remember, I already delivered, but forgot, DUH!
