RR is onto something. I agree Glp. You tell random 100 people what we do for a job. 99 people will classify as a trucker. Sure it's nit picking the language, tell 100 OTR drivers what you do, 99 will say not a trucker lol.

We all look good in uniforms. In a no homo way:biggrin_2559: Except ACH. He is a ugly guido from ny.

Such a bloody good argument. OTR just sneers at us... "Oh, you drive a daycab, good bloody good on you... you guys are like the weekend warriors of the trucking world". ...No arguments from me, Swifty. Not gonna lie... my 46 CPM totally suck. I absolutely hate to be home every day and attend the monotany of flirting with my most fav petrol station attendant... and sleeping in my own bed every bloody night...... wankers. They are right. I prefer the couch.

Locations vary. OTR folks ask me questions every day at various places. However, Will not pretend or carry on a conversation to a bottom feeder outfit and the driver pretends to be my brother, simply because he has my company logo on it. Sometime have to look out for #1, yourself. We interact before hand so be it.

Yea as my friends outside of work I'm just a trucker. At my job and to my work friends I'm a road driver or as one guy says I'm the scum of the earth road guy lol. As for the wheel holders I'm just a day cab driver who can't handle driving. Hence while at night these big real truckers all go 30 miles UNDER the speed limit and on the cross Bronx where the speed limit is 50 and they all hog the middle lane doing 25-30.... UH HUH

As for the uniform the girls love it, get lots of smiles when I go to the store after work in the uniform or if I'm stopping for coffee on my run.

Shaggy I aint even that nationality LOL at least I'm not a toothless hillbilly from PA living in a dumpster like you.

Maybe you should pay more attention to what you read. I did not say weeks I said weekly which meant overnight in some cases and turn arounds which could impede the daily home thing

Well I did OTR for quite a while and I never talked any smack on the ltl guys. As far as the job goes I like OTR a lot better. Well actually I like dedicated OTR a lot better with a wild trip every now and then. I liked my Carlstadt, NJ run I had from Los Angeles every week. Every now and then we went to Miami to change up the scenery. It was teams but I made good money and always knew when my days off were. I have to say I felt like a trucker then cause I had a brand new Pete wide open. Of course like so many other good small companies they got bought out by a dump! The only benefit to ltl for me is higher pay and better benefits. The benefits are really good at YRC and the pay is a touch better than I made OTR. I always picked good OTR jobs though, not bottom feeder jobs. Dedicated is way better in my opinion if you want OTR, then again all the good OTR jobs are in the south, mid west, and Texas.
