It means freedom of speech as long as you don’t offend anyone.

Other states are taking action are taking action against offensive or sexual in personalized plates as well (Iowa,Texas,New York,Tennessee, etc.)so it’s not a new development.

The licensing agencies WARN YOU (literally) in black and white about putting anything offensive or sexual in nature on a personalized/vanity license plate,at the risk of having the plate(s) recalled!

They expect you to know better!;)

Some of you have to start reading the fine print when you apply for plates!:evil3:

Censorship..you can cheer about it if you like.

Here on Fl you can’t even have a vanity plate that says “Hot Rod”. Some woman here in my area had one similar and died in a wreck. So now every tag is scrutinized.

I’m sure remember the guy in Florida who had “I eat ###” written on his vehicle.

I think that woman should write Tennessee eats ### on hers and let the crybabies cry :)

Nothing new, in the 80s a friend tried to get
FA Q on a plate. He said it was his dearly departed fathers initials, no that did not fly

Big difference between writing something on your personal vehicle and having something printed on a license plate which the state is actually LOANING to you.
When you apply for license and/or license plates you are entering into a LEGAL BINDING CONTRACT with the state to comply with their rules and regulations, like it or not.

If Florida says it’s on the no-no list, then so be it. And in this lady’s case Tennessee Supreme Court had the final say.
She’ll have to deal with it!

It's the end of the world if we can't have whatever we want on a vanity plate. That might be the last straw for many is Canada taking refugees?
