Can anyone tell me how its possible to have loads on the board but when I commit either the load is no good, cancelled, or already filled? Does the Mercer boards only offer loads given to us or do other companies have access to these loads as well. I lost 3 loads in the last week never happened before. Trying to figure out how this works.

Welcome to trucking in the modern era. No longer do most customers use one carrier. They send a load list out to a dozen carriers. Do you see where it says cbd on the load screen? Thart means call before dispatch. The agent has to contact the customer and wait for a response to make sure the load is still available.

Happens to me almost every time I'm looking for a load.

I committed to a load this week. The amount was 1200.00 . When I was dispatched on it like 30 minutes later it was 1000.00. for some reason I lost 200.00. ? ? ?

Call your coordinator and have them pull you off it. A rate reduction is a legitimate reason to come off a load. In the future i would also screen shot every load i committed to from that agent.

I understand that things happen that can adjust the rate. Could be as simple as a coil that pays by weight and the agent finally got an accurate weight vs a generic 45k number. Could be a contracted fsc so was updated with the latest doe fuel price list. Could be it was a bid load and the agent accepted a lower counter offer. Could be a stopoff was removed from the order bringing the total miles down plus removing three extra stop charge. So many legitimate things can cause a rate to lower. The key thing for me is when the rate changes i expect to know asap. Pick up the phone and call me and verify i still want the load. Most times im gonna stay on it cause 200 in the grand scheme of things ain't a lot of money and I've got another load lined up on the other end, but i still expect to be told of the rate change so i can make that decision based on the current situation.

That's what I thought thinking they would call me back to see if I still wanted the load. And I still would have taken it because I needed to get out of that area and loads seem to be going south (bad) in that area.

The best thing you can do at this point is to remember that agent and take a screen shot of their loads when you commit to them.
