Thought the air bags count as securement so you don't need the load bars.

Final Drive and bzinger Thank this.

Some of those dry boxes have Plastic Roofs you could almost poke a finger through. I don't know if a load lock would work vertically.

Oh I know it. I made mention of that as to why OP's load locks didn't hold up. Straps are far better for dry vans most definitely.

I hated not having the load lock rack. More often than not, I'd have to clear out the trailer for loading, or if I forget to take it off at a delivery, the customers surely will try to keep load locks. If you have bungee cords, you can tie them to your cat walk, perhaps that helps. I have 4 bungeed to my cat walk now, and 4 in the rack.

I frequently haul out of miller's at Milwaukee and trenton ohio and have for quite a few years .
Also started my career in the late 80s as road driver for an AB distributor.
An old beer hauler back then gave me valuable advice ....drive like you are hauling cattle and you'll never have a problem...and I never have ...easy on the brakes , easy on curves and easy on rr tracks and rough roads .
The ones that have issues and the ones that drive like apes .

I only do beer when it pays out the ###. Last one was 40k on trailer tandems. Ran it at night so no coops to worry about. Still under gross, 79.1k
