just wanted to get your guys take on taking a local job that pays .41 cpm 350 miles a day 5 days a week 12 hr shift at night hauling dry van loads for lowes drop and hook. It gets extra stop pay too. Ive just never heard of a local gig paying by the mile versus hourly. Would it he worth it?
350 miles @ $0.41/mi over a 12 hr shift is only $11.96/hr. Is the extra stop pay going to be enough to get that to a respectable average?
More than likely not she said they were avg $800 to $100 a week but that could be false just a tactic to reel me in.
$800-$1000/week for a 60 hr week (12 hr shifts for 5 days) is still only $13.33-$16.66/hr STRAIGHT TIME. To put that into perspective, a job paying $12/hr with overtime will pay $840 for a 60 hr week.
Use the numbers posted above and fire them back at the recruiter and ask if they would be cool working for such a small amount. Show them you are not a dummy.
