Where can I get an air line that would last several years? I'm talking out air lines between tractor-trailer.
I've just replaced both air lines on my truck before winter and was backing out from shipper when I hear hissing and see air pressure drop. I've straightened out trailer and come out to see my trailer air supply hose has snapped off right where pvc line goes onto metal fitting. That's where they fail most often. Having metal protective spring over it didn't help.
Glad it happened at customer where I could just drop trailer and go get me replacement line.
I was thinking about getting some hybrid hose from NAPA/Lowes and crimping it onto brass fittings-making my own air line.
Any suggestions?
Long lasting air lines.

Are you using rubber?
-
Get rubber lines and toss those pvc lines in the garbage. They get way too fragile in cold temps.
Lepton1, Cat sdp, whoopNride and 3 others Thank this. -
Where do they sell rubber ones at?
-
Dealerships. Hydraulic hose stores can make them to length desired.

Any good truck part supplier. I’ve seen those pvc lines snap making a turn at -30.
I hate those coiled hoses.mitmaks Thanks this. -

You can get ones like this. They work well if always pulling same trailer. We have a variety of trailers and they always need adjusting as to not be too short/long. -
Rubber lines with proper springs to suspend above catwalk. More money upfront but very long lasting .. only maintenance is the odd gladhand seal
