If you're going to pay that much there are guys on eBay that sell and entire computers set up similar to the factory diagnostic computers. If you were wanting alter anything that might be a better route.

My problem with the ebay ones are there is no way to tell if they are real or not. Plus a lot have experied subscriptions. Got burned on one for my ram a while back so im pretty leery of buying one from ebay. Not to mention theres no way to know if its compatable with my model and year of engine.

Good to know, I had never thought of it being a problem with expired subscriptions. I just figured they were maybe under the table type programs, like a Homebrew program or similar.

I have the same truck, 10 speed, it's super slow on the lower gear. It's a snail.
I'm in 7th gear and going 25mph. Doesn't pick up speed until 8th gear.

Is there a way I can change that? A different setting or gear ratio ?

what speed do you want to be at in 7th?

You do realize that 7-8-9 are for climbing and descending hills at different grades and weights right?

@Arctic_fox ive used this one but on a cascadia. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N4GH6U...=9INIb&ref_=sbx_be_s_sparkle_mcd_asin_0_title

I have the otr one for DD15, works great,
Only code I’ve ever had to clear is Nox sensor derate to 55 mph, it can force a regen too though if you follow the instruction book

I have a 2016, 579 with Paccar MX13, 10 speed and use the OTR Diagnostic tool. Clears codes, reads real-time data and will force a regen. I mainly use it to keep tabs on everything so I can head off a developing issue.

I tried one of those cheap nexas ones. It really was a pos. It could read and delete many codes but sometimes couldn't see all the data. If you have a laptop you can get paccar esa for cheap. It needs a quality interface. Heavytrucksoftware.net sells a jpro interface for 700 bucks. They also sells all the software. Contact them by email and ask them your questions.

I have the OTR pro. It works on my 16 freightliner dd15, it is supposed to work for all major brands and motors.
