Prime Inc. guys have been blowing my doors off the last 2 weeks... those guys seem to have no problems running 75-80 in a 70 now.

I heard that a long time ago Prime was known for having fast trucks. I think that was before the state of Kansas kicked them out, which is how they ended up in Missouri. Rob Lowe's mom was in charge back then, I think.
broke down plumber Thanks this. -
I was loading orange juice in Florida, way back then, and parked along with 2 Prime trucks. They told me the trucks would run between 78 and 80 mph.
When I left, they were still loading. About an hour or so later, they both passed me like I was sitting still.
They were really ragging on me over the CB radio!broke down plumber, bzinger, bryan21384 and 1 other person Thank this. -
In the early 2000's Prime trucks were fast and always in the left lane. I think sometime around all the hurricanes hitting the gulf coast around 2005 or so with the resulting fuel spikes they got cut severely. Been in everybody's way ever since.
broke down plumber, bzinger and Bud A. Thank this. -
When I started driving they were running T600's. Seems like they ran mid to upper 70's back then. Could have been a little more or less.broke down plumber Thanks this.

IWX pulling prime trailers run about 70 or so.
Bud A. and broke down plumber Thank this. -
How can anyone tell from looking at a truck passing or being passd if the truck is governed, or the driver is getting enough of a fuel saver bonus he chooses to drive slow? Since MAYBE 10% of drivers have a CB, we know the drivers are not talking on the radio. They may both be texting, but not each other.
broke down plumber Thanks this.
