I consider a cracked windshield a maintenance expense and an employee shouldn’t pay for maintenance costs. Unless you had control over what cracked it I wouldn’t be staying long.

I'll agree with Opus' post above--move on, but find another worthwhile gig, first.

On a lighter note: I think it's amusing that you'd post (& rightly so) about getting shafted/mistreated--yet your avatar is arguably one of the world's former favorite targets for such--"George Costanza". :p :D

Next time wait to receive your bonus before reporting it, Then report it and quit. If they are nit picking on a basically a routinely damaged windshield. I can't even count how many times I had windshield damage for road debis

Yup, if i can go 6 months without a broken windshield as a dumptruck its a shock. I actully have 3 ready to go in my garage back home and keep the $650 ready since you drive 150k a year and you are almost 100% getting a broken one and usually by then they are so pitted its worth swappimg it anyway. Hell even side windows arent unusual.

Just cause your in management doesn't mean you're good at it. Clipping a guy for his safety bonus over a road hazard, that's going keep the morale high.
It sounds like they're cheap ########. Kick'm to the curb.

And your parting words should be "think about how much money you're saving by not having to pay me a paycheck", toss them the keys and wave bye-bye.

I keep saying this over and over, that these Insurance Compliance Departments (safety) are a joke ran by a bunch of puppets controlled be the insurance companies. They have no interest in your safety, it's all about how much money the company can save at your expense.
