Hey partners owner ops I'm sure many of us have had the issue where the broker will lie about delivery times. How do you handle that?
my rate con said appointment was for 8am and I checked in at 2am at 10am I find out that there were 4 trucks in-front of me. So as soon as I told co#k so$%ing broker that I'm gonna cross dock this #### they put me in a door within 45 min.
Bronx Market D'Ariggo you always gonna have problems here horrible horrible place to deliver, but I stick to the brokers rate con, they said no you can't do that, oh yes I can I'm not a storage, your contract said 8am we both sign it, any further problems we will meet in a court.
I wouldn't cross dock it anyway but those A-HOLLS pissed me off.

And I'm always wondering if there is any regulations or law regarding those issues because this happens all the time.

Detention pay. Figure out how long your willing to wait to be unloaded, & how much per hour your time is worth. Add it to the rate con before you & the broker sign it.

My experience if this isn't settled before hand, the broker will try to offer a measly $50 an hour after 2 hours usually..
