I for one do not have facewaste. My complaint is that my phone has direct customers numbers, emails, and contracts. Last Co. that asked me to use macro point, I asked for there company computer password. She said what? I politely informed her that she was asking for mine. This was last time they mentioned it. I have zero problems signing Disclosure forms for a customer or broker, I expect the same. Next favorite to to call and inform them that due to late payment they have broken Broker, Carrier agreement.

    Well said!
And this is why I don't do face book, macro point or loyal cards.
Still reluctantly use google and google maps though.

Googlemaps app with real time traffic is the best thing since beer in a can. It even notifies of speed traps now. Anymore I can't truck without it.

Google maps is one of the worst. I drive teams with my wife, I drive nights. My wife gets "would you like to rate a so and so company" messages all the time. It seems when I make a stop at night, while she is asleep, her phone picks up on the truck not moving and assumes she is the one conducting business at that place at that time. So anything you do you are being tracked. PrePass, easy pass, loyalty cards, Google maps, most apps, your credit cards and debt cards, all the social medias, even trucker paths that everyone loves, weather apps and the list goes on.

Just activate Macro point when you are on a run, when run is complete delete the app.

You need to change some settings on it or something. I dont get any of that nonsense. I've lost count of the times googlemaps has saved me 45 minutes or an hour detouring traffic jams. With EOBR that makes all the difference in keeping things on schedule or everything screwed up down the line. You can tell which cars and trucks are using it as they exit the interstate and which ones are blindly driving into a 10 mile traffic jam.

You are correct. My point was and is that they still have all that info, it does not matter if you turn it off or not. I have it turned off, my wife does not. All that means is that she gets notices and I don't. To really stay under the radar or off grid is very hard nowadays. ELDS, pickup locations and drop offs, doctors visit, it all can be used to know where you were at. That is why I said if it bothers people to use Macropoint, just use it for that one occasion then uninstall. Macropoint runs pay well, the paying customer wants to know where their freight is at all times. No different then when we order something and check on line for delivery time. UPS, FedEx, USPS and many others too many to mention, use it in real time. Watch the movie "Enemy of the State" great movie to highlight the tracking of people.

I get my dispatcher booking loads knowing I will not do macropoint I still to this day cant figure it out. Macropoint sells your personal Information to spammers, businesses and anyone that wants to buy information and by clicking you agree to their terms you are letting them do this. Your Information can end up in hackers hands and that's a rabbit hole you dont want to go down. I was forced to install it and it didnt work received dozens of text messages I erased it and reset my phone to factory settings. And your information is on a global tracking system anyone on any part of it can access it how safe and secure do you feel now???? and did I mention its owned by a pseudo Canadian company with investors from other countries , sounds really secure to me how about you. All trucks that have people net or similar elds can be tracked through them I have seen dispatchers offer access to it but that's too much effort or the broker doesn't speak english or read it to know what's going on I would avoid it all together and let the foregioners use it and hopefully it will put them out of business.

Your missing the big picture it's not needed it doesn't work your still called and texted about it and your personal information is sold to anyone wanting to buy it. Bet you've been getting lots of telemarketer calls and spam emails too. And the company is a foregion nation ran company and operated entity might want to check into it a little closer. And your exactly right when you say dont take the load if you dont want to use it very good advice.

You know all of this yet you admit you’ve never figured out how to use it. Look, I’m a conservative and big on privacy but I think your acting a little nutty about this.

If you are really this paranoid, I’d advise going back to a flip phone, or no phone at all.

Your probably the same guy that has Facebook and the app for it on your phone. LOL Or pretty much ANY other app for that matter.
