I'm sitting at an unnamed "cold storage" customer waiting to check in. My appt is at 0700. I was trying to check in at 0600, but they won't even talk to me until 0700. I stood and waited for about 15 min while people looked at me and continued on without acknowledging me. People on their phones. Eventually I just asked if I'm in the right place. But anyway... I noticed this place is pretty old, but remarkably well kept and tidy. There are regulations and check lists posted all over the walls. As I'm sitting here in my truck, I'm watching the employees come in for work. There are so many people entering this building in a suit and tie and briefcase, coming from nice vehicles. I haven't seen one rough-looking person in jeans or a hoodie or t-shirt. I just can't imagine the level of bureaucracy and politics that goes on here. Once I did get checked in, the people are real nice.

Edit: oh and this is one of those "pull into the street and block traffic so you can back in" places. No real staging, busy 2-lane road. Fun! No but really... its kinda fun!

 

It's been a long time since I have done a turkey load . Who gets the in and out times I forgot. I'm getting old.

Well picked up in Grand Forks headed to Fort Worth. About 4 1/2 hours out with a 2200 appointment. Stopped here in Tonkatruck, OK at Pilot.

On another note does anyone know if US Cold in Ft. worth have overnight parking?

 

No parking there but you can park in the street on gold spike rd about 2 miles away

 

If you park there on gold spike rd there is a Mattel toy store outlet right there. Don't know if you got kids or not but they usually have stuff really cheap

 

gonna check it out. Start early Christmas shopping.
