Hang in there buddy. The nice thing about being OTR is that in a couple days you will be several states away from that idiot and you will be on to bigger and better things! Meanwhile, he will still be stuck at the job that he hates.

Winnyf1 Thanks this. -
Can't remember who but someone mentioned to me to look out for a 2023 sleeper Cascadia with to see if it had a digital dash.
Well i saw one in the yard in Fargo and am here to report that it was ordered with the standard analog gauge package. Probably for the best to stick with tried and true stuff. Been hearing that the next gen PACCAR trucks have had their fair share of glitches (what a surprise). I'd be kinda pissed if i had to stop and cycle the ignition just to get my gauges working again. Never had that issue with analog gauges, truck or car.Zangief Thanks this. -

When you guys say you are having to "cycle the ignition", I'm assuming you need to turn the truck off and take the key out for a good 10 seconds or so, then put the key back on, turn the key to the right but then my question is do you actually turn on the truck to unfreeze the digital dash or just leave the key turned to the right without actually starting the truck?
Because before the recent software update that I got a week ago to fix the dash freezing problem, I tried turning the truck on and off to try to get the dash to unfreeze itself but it didn't work. -
Getting a PM done today and I called Shawn N. (from maintenence) and asked him about the PM intervals. On my window sticker (that the Fargo shop put on) when I first got this truck it said:
PM1 (grease/fuel filter) 30,000 miles
PM 2 (full PM with oil change) 60,000 miles
APU (full PM) 2,000 hours
But Shawn told me that it's actually:
PM1 (grease/fuel filter) 25,000 miles
PM2 (grease/fuel filter) 50,000 miles
PM3 (full PM with oil change) 75,000 miles
APU (I'm assuming oil and oil filter change with a full PM) once per year
Has anyone else had discrepancies with PM intervals like this, where the sticker on the windshield from the Fargo/Coon Rapids shop says one thing but the maintenence department will say another thing? -
I was supposed to start magnum as an OTR trainee on Monday but my son caught Covid. I was just wondering can y’all tell me if it’s a good job? What the pay like weekly? I live all the way down in Mobile and I’m kinda nervous they won’t ever be able to get me home because it’s so far south. Can y’all give me some info?
-
I live about 20-30 minutes from their Coon Rapids, MN terminal, so getting home isn't a big worry for me. From what I've read, they do have a facility down in North Carolina, so getting that far south shouldn't be a huge problem. Others here will probably be able to tell you about how often they get to your neck of the woods in Mobile.
Good luck!
