Will be Picking up in Jamestown going to Ohio.
I check temp every time I get out of the truck. I wonder how accurate they and how often are they checked. I have had dry loads for the last 2 weeks.
When I deliver on Monday 3200 miles and 4 extra stops

image.jpeg Middle of May in Grand Forks, freezing rain. In a loaner truck, hopefully mine is done when I get loaded here and can pick it up in Fargo.

Daaaaaaamn. I'm in S GA and it got down to a chilly 68 last night. Gonna be in the mid 90's all weekend...while I am finishing the re-roof that I started months ago.

Stay away from the twin Cities. It's sprinkling so of course that means every road here is dead locked.

Just curious if all of you call the brokers as much as they want you to? Call me when you get there, then call me again when you're loaded, etc.. It's an aspect I thought I was getting away from when I came to a bigger company. Mark even said in orientation we don't need to talk to brokers, they can get updates through dispatch, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Or have I been making check calls for nothing?

Some brokers are connected and get updates via EDI, normally I just call them after I'm loaded and when I'm unloaded, I typically don't do the muti call updates...never have gotten any static about it.

I'm now on the start of my third week of training and I have already learned a lot but I'm also almost at my wits end with my trainer though. Don't get me wrong he's a good trainer but he has some real quirks, I'll trip plan the whole route and then he goes and changes it mid way through while driving, he did that yesterday because he refuses to give the state of Kansas any toll money so we go 50 miles out of our way to avoid tolls that don't even come out of his pocket. He gives directions by pointing and not saying anything until I'm about to miss the turn and if that happens he starts to lose his temper. And now I can't even miss or grind a gear without having an earful. That's the end of my rant though. On the plus side someone abandoned a truck a few miles from where I live so I'll be picking that truck up in Ga and go straight to home time at the end of the month.
