Can’t say. Could just be the regional agent. Only have done 3 or 4 loads over the last several months. These are only for return loads. They get a bit upset that I won’t use the tracker. Told her she gets 3 phone calls, when the load is on, once mid trip, last when the load is off.
1 called me from there cell phone the other day lol. Told him I’d call him back. Hopefully he ain’t holding his breath
I hauled my first load for Buchanan and it's also going to be the last. It looked like a simple load, the shipper took forever to load and consequently I couldn't make the delivery appointment. I called their dispatch when I parked for the night and advised them I needed a new appointment. Called a couple of times the next morning and received no response from their broker. When I arrived at the shipper, they told me I needed to reschedule, I told her I was getting no help from the broker so she called and got a new appointment for me. Communication from Buchanan was nonexistent. I flushed their phone number down the toilet!
This year I had two loads that paid the TONU rate of $150 with different brokers. They should raise it to $250 at least. The $150 doesn't cover time and expense. But most pay $150, more the shady ones who probably use these practices more often.
