Yeah, I’ve been pessimistic all along about a recovery. Just thinking all along that any sign of a recovery would just open the floodgates of new carriers with dreams of making it to the big time.

Currently sitting at home watching van rates nosedive off a cliff.

Really don’t know what to think anymore..what does a recovered freight market look like anyway? Rates to me don’t really look any higher or lower than they did when I bought my first truck 6-7 years ago.

I got a friend that drives for Walmart who has me thinking about trying to get on with them and have a little better security for my family.

 

Saw a graph the other day of carriers leaving vs new carrier startups..Although more were currently leaving it wasn’t by much. Kind of like 100 leave and 98 jump in.

 

This is exactly why I don't see it ever coming back. I thought maybe $30,000 insurance premiums would stop these idiots from getting Authority but it hasn't. Amazon Facebook groups have a constant stream of brand new Authorities asking some of the most stupid questions you could ever think of. You can tell they have no business being in business. Any big increase in rates would just exacerbate this.

 

You won't regret it if you do. I wish I had parked my truck several years ago before it grenaded and gotten on with them. It would've brought more money when I sold it had it been running!

I'm on a set schedule at a grocery DC I "gate out" at 14:00 every day. I'm back to the DC just about every night but sometimes I end up camping out at a store. Some guys gate out at 08:00 some at 10:00 some at 01:00 or 02:00 and whatnot.
