It's always fun hearing from the Marten company suck ups. They'll be here sonn enough. Any company where the owner handwrites notes to fired drivers is a company to steer clear of. It's almost like he's surprised that people don't give two flips about about a job with a junk otr company that won't even provide a living wage.

GOOD LUCK!!!!! I just left Marten the 4th of Jan. I liked working there but couldn't get no miles 1600-2200/week if you can live on that then so be it but i couldn't when i went there it looked promising but soon realized all their best freight goes on the rail. Then they want you to do freebies all the time... I. E. yard checks, trailers to rail yards, fuel trailers dropped at customer locations, on and on and on. So again GOOD LUCK.

I keep reading stories like this but it's just not what I am seeing. My miles are good and I do nothing for free. Yard checks at a customer that I'm p/u or del to maybe. But anything else cost them cold hard cash. Got $30 for sweeping out a trl. $25 for taking one to a repair shop and $300 for seating 4 days waiting on shop repairs. So if you drivers are doing things for free well, Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

Well for starters, there is more drivers than freight. The larger the company the worse it is. With a large company you will sit and watch as new drivers are pumped out like precut cookies only to be told that there is no freight nor are there any trucks available. Trucking can be a good rewarding career and who knows you might end up liking it. You'll have to like it in order to make it through your first couple of years. This has to be the worst time I ever seen to get into trucking. Not only will a new driver suffer his family at home will suffer as well by giving up so much. It's a pretty dismal pathetic outlook I have but why sugarcoat.

To all the companies that continue to lure in well meaning people looking for ways to support themselves...YOU SHOULD ALL DIE A SLOW PAINFUL DEATH. A corporate jet smacking the side of a mountain at 700mph would be much too good a way for you to go. More interested in pumping drivers out in quantity rather than paying for quality. Shall be interesting to see how you demons turn cvsa2010 around to be the fault of the drivers. Do you see why so many of us rejoiced the day JB Hunt slipped, smacked his fat head and died ? Slipped on the very ice covered steps that his employees had asked for many years "can we just get some salt out here ?" What a cheap old man that you all idolize as a "real pioneer of the mass produced driver"
