It is very important to strike the right balance between not too firm and not too soft, especially when in a moving truck. You'll probably want to deal with a respected mattress maker and avoid stock dealer spring mattresses. I'd look to do a minimum of 6-8 inched thickness, foam core mattress, laminated with 2-3 different types of foams. You can put various "toppers" on cheap spring mattresses but they do little good in terms of improving their overall comfort.
You'll want to match the size to the "tray" that is in the truck. There are several "common sizes" in fleet trucks. Most are 40x80 which is essentially a Twin XL. It's hard to put a regular twin fitted sheet on an XL mattress but XL fitted can be found at Bed Bath & Beyond and other similar department stores. I don't care for cheap sheet sets.

I just purchased an 8inch memory foam matteress from Amazon for $208. It's firm, and it doesn't get hot.
-
Do those foam mattresses make you hot? Is there a kind that doesn't make one hot during sleep?

Cited for his mattress length? I didn't realize they get in your personal space that much.... do they give your porta-potty a white glove test also?

I like to sleep on my stomach and like to hang my feet over the edge so they are not bent flat straight. I like to have room to do that.
I also like an air mattress. It is the best for my back.

You get cited if the mattress isn't long enough?
