Been a little while. Now sitting in Menesha with some truck problems. Actually the Freightliner dealer. The shop could not touch the truck. Warranty work. Well the miles have finally picked up. According to L/P I am now qualified for the program. Was also told that I have to check back with them before I go home on the 29th. If the miles drop by then, then not qualify. My DM and FM know this. Now just hoping that the truck will not take all weekend to fix. What really is lousy, I can not control the planners and the freight. From what I hear, a load out of where will be a short one, like the Windy Area. Then get stuck in the GLR system. I can not understand why I can not get a long one to the west. Oh well.
Everyone, be safe out there and take care

There are loads running from Menasha area to Texas. No idea why they can't hook you up with one.
Good luck with it. I'm glad Leasing is actually talking to you now. They (and Company Recruiting) were embarassing me and I made a phone call about it. Apparently, someone got a tune-up.The Challenger Thanks this. -
Injun, again, thanks, and hope that you are heading in the direction that you need and that everything will be okay.Injun Thanks this. -
Hello Everyone,
I see that it has been a week since I have said anything here. Well, they have been running my butt off. Last Friday heard that I finally qualified for the L/P program, and last night, received a phone call that I have been approved. At first it was for a used, and I was not having any part of that. Today get another phone call and wanted to know if I could be in Phoenix, They had a new one. Well, no way from IN to AZ by morning, so now they are just going to wait until some much needed Dental work is done next week, then see where they have the new trucks available, then off to there. It will be the T660 Studio. I was really wanting a 780, but hey, I will take the KW. At least it will also be a new one. I have read some horror stories here about those that received a used one, and I did tell them that I really did not want someone elses problems, and also very little warranty left.
Everyone, take care and will update again when on my way to somewhere, whether it be Phoenix, Greer or god forbid, Memphis. -

The reason why the new truck. Shop will not touch. Warranty work. Will not even have a shop due the service. There is a place less than 1 mile from my home, and I know the mechanics quite well. Pull in, toss them the keys, and say see you in a couple of days. Get the truck back, and it will be done. They take care of most of the O/O's trucks in my area, and they do because they like that repeat business. I also know that they will go through the truck with a fine tooth comb, and anything small that needs attention, they will take care of and tell me later. I might pay a little more, but that trust is there. Also know that I will get the truck back without grease on the steps or seat or steering wheel. Also 3 miles from my home, a T/A with mechanics from around my area.

Yes I'm living and learning, the hard way. I emptied out a load in Flagstaff AZ, they sent me a preplan, I turned it down under Other and wrote 'need bservce'. They said deadhead to Phoenix for service. Only reason I agreed to do it was because I mistakenly believed the service at Swift was $82.50 bucks, including 90 DOT inspection if done at the same time. Now I see the fine print, that is only the labor at 1.5 hours, filters and oil round out the $210 balance oops. And I lost my empty trailer. And I got no fuel surcharge for those 167 miles. I could have gone to Kingman for slightly fewer miles and kept my empty trailer to boot. Petro charges $199.99 I could have saved a shiny penny and a sawbuck.

We (you/me etc) talked about regen/engine lights/ecu 128 in another thread...(shop).
I could swear the engine light(s) scenario is a leadup to a regen needed.
And was thinking ecu 128 is followed by other codes... probably like 'full filter'
I've been pulling a bunch of light loads over flat land lately...
not a peep from the dash... -
I had two different Amber Enging lites, one that said check engine and the other was just a lite of engine. As far as regen, I was told that as long as you have these lites on, parked regen will not happen. ECU 128 was just replacing the ECM sensor. Sense then, not a problem. Also when tring to check if any other codes, with the ECU 128, was not able to do a diagnostic.
