It's true. In Illinois, they will get you for ANYTHING that doesn't look legit. Headlight out,getting pulled over.
License plate light out, getting pulled over.
No front plate?(applicable only to motor vehicles registered in Illinois) Definitely getting pulled over. Cracked windshield-you can see where I'm going with this right? Illinois only has a handful of weigh stations so in lieu of that, most of the municipalities there have DOT certified officers that can do on the spot roadside safety checks (my brother is one of them). Usually they're done by county sheriffs or local police departments but once in a blue moon Illinois State Police will have theirs. Just pray you don't get nailed by the Secretary of State Police.

The comedian in me is having a hard time holding back on this one.

But seriously, we all know how it is with all the women folk out here on the road making us forgetful and all. Well, except for PattyJ (she probably has to fight the guys off with a tire thumper). I can certainly understand why he forgot all about his seatbelt with trying to remember which girlfriend he was going to see.

Taking a company from 1 truck to 10 trucks single handedly can also interfere with ones regular habit of fastening the seatbelt before doing anything else. With all those grand ideas of building an empire for the Duke and Duchess of Mom&Poptruckingllc.com I can certainly understand not thinking about a little thing like a safety belt. This is clearly forgivable in the land of make believe.

To the OP, thanks for the laughs. You are clearly bored and only slightly creative. You should try directing your efforts toward story telling events. There are crowds of people willing to listen to such tales and I'm sure you would have a lot of fun.

Maybe we should pass a law saying YOU cant breathe air...after all, you could inhale any one of a hundred things that would kill you, or mess you up real good...Gotta buy air now, in a can or something...silly right?

If you dont wear your required goggles and your sprayed with a corrosive at work, so what! You shouldnt be fired or fined for it...But also, you shouldnt be able to sue, or collect moneys from anywhere because of it..
