Hello Mercer family, have a question for any step deck owners: I'm buying a brand new Transcraft SD and wanted to know if there is any benefit to getting a 53 vs a 48x102? Looks like CA is off my radar since I own a 1996 truck.
Thanks in advance....

All u need is a 48 foot.
I imagine you're gonna wanna haul mostly vehicles an high dimension freight so 40 foot of deck is all you would need.
Oh an of course some levelers if you ever need to use the entire 48ft -
Kinda what I'm thinking. Last time I hauled for Mercer (2010) I did alot of vehicles and OD stuff....now that I think about it....Thanks Jaquesi23
jacquesi23 Thanks this. -
53's are good if you wanna stack that sucker full of partials an not have to worry about space. That extra 5ft flapping in the back is annoying as well lol. I hate to see one going by.
