The recruiters are probably the most honest in the world.

There is a whole thread on mercer where many of us have talked about our loads, pay and expenses. Many have talked about quality and other truck resources.

If your thinking about buying or leasing a truck and signing on to mercer I suggest You do some reading. Mercer Transportation and why do some fail at mercer are two good places to start. The first one is a lot to read but packed full of info. If your considering Mercer it's a must read. And please read the whole thread before you start asking questions. Most questions are answered in there someplace.

Or at least skim through it, the most common questions (pay and quality) are answered multiple times and should not be hard to find the answers you are looking for. As stated before, most of us will answer any questions you have, it's just that as a business owner we expect you to do a little work on your own. If you look back, even over just the last few months pretty much all questions will be answered best as possible. Any questions beyond that, don't hesitate to ask, but since it is a business and everyone runs theirs differently, some answers are nearly impossible to give.

I hear Quality u got to pay a 60,000 balloon payment can u make that payment to buy that truck out? Do you have around $20,000? Yes its no money down but ur payments will be HIGHER buy a cheap used truck and get your money from.

There is only a Baloon on newer trucks. The one I was going to get was a 2013 587 Pete. $450/wk for 5 years. No balloon. The brand new ones are $625 a week for 5 years with a balloon. Can't remember the numbers but the lone star was a $60k buyout. I think the T680 was $40k buyout and Cascadia was $20k

U should call a Tax guy just fyi too. From my understanding u can only write a truck off for 3 years and a trailer for 5 years. im just saying there is more options then these no money down trucks:/ U can pick up a good truck for 20,000 miles and not have payments every week and just a monthly payment.
