They are still a good company. In today's trucking environment there are no longer any great companies, only a handful of good ones. Mercer is one of them.

Exercise extreme caution with Mercer. They stipulate in the lease purchase agreement that you must remain leased to Mercer until the trailer is paid off. But the trick is that they can terminate the truck lease contract at anytime for any reason or no reason at all. When they terminate the truck contract that automatically terminates the trailer lease purchase contract. You are totally at their mercy. If you can’t pay off the trailer whenever they decide they don’t want you anymore then you lose all of your equity. They are not the company they used to be. Something strange is going on over there. They seem to have a lot less freight and drivers are leaving them in droves. Best to steer clear and go with a more reputable carrier.
