Knox 7022 complaint is the reason to be careful talking Mercer up can make alot of new guys think it's all roses here. In reality, it slower than normal here and the lousy areas become dead areas. To get the good freight (especially during winter) you deadhead quite a bit more. Or sit more. And sometimes sit alot then dead head quite far.
The guys that work the system hard, willing to deadhead alot for the better loads, tarp, and go whereever including Canada, keep quite busy and make some decent money. Then the other 2/3 of the fleet here sits back and cherry picks the best loads.
New guys just have to find their place in the system and don't think the economy is booming yet.

it seems nobody in mercer knew i had hazmat. i couldnt book the load becuase the computer says i had no hazmat. the load was running the board and i was number 5. ended up having to make someone run and pull my file and check my license and change it in the computer before the lpad got to me. i would have been super mad if i would have missed that one. i was going to bounce home tomorrow if i didnt find anything but i will wait till monday for $2.50/mi vs 400mi deadhead

I'm glad you got them straightened out. Usually not that on the ball.
I'm actually working on getting my Hazmat endorsement this week. I let it go back after 9-11. Now I would like to have it to land a few more loads. Got my fingerprints already done.

My Mercer inspection expired end of Dec. and I haven't been out since. Figured I'd take them a hazmat endoresement while I'm there.
My CDL doesn't expire till end of Aug. so I can't renew it with my hazmat endoresement. Will have to go back this summer.
