get a phone you can view the board on. i check it constantly. you cant just look at it once or twice a day. i keep my preferences fairly tight for my cordinator so she isnt calling me with all the junk. but i watch it myself so i can make the choice on.if i am interested on something outside those preferences. then i click it to either be matched to it or commit to it

If you go to the load board, then go to info, it should show you this other information like your twic and hazmat infor. Though you shouldn't have to check on this but sometimes you will.

Anyone take up the offer of the free Eclipse logbook program? If so, and if you run Canada, how are you dealing with that issue?
-
There is alot of us Mercer drivers using the eclipse logbook. I didn't get the free program because I purchased it couple years ago and they don't pay for the upgrade. Oh well
Also I can't go into canada with my little truck.
Otherwise I love using the program. It diffinitely makes logging simplier and quicker and easier to cheat. Not that I cheat my log book. -

Flightline .... that's funny. So many driver confuse the program with an EOBR or Electronic Logs. Yes, I can see how it would let one "manipulate" logs by checking your work and making sure you are "legal". Although the way some drivers I know run, I can't figure out how the can turn in a log unless they drop loads from it completely. Maybe the log checkers just check the log paper, not against what loads the driver does? Yeah, I guess that little truck of yours is a problem up there in all the provinces?
Allan M ..... thanks, I used DDL years ago when it first came out. I'm not concerned about inspections, just the log form itself. So far Eclipse limits you to either the US or Canada log form, you cannot switch between the two, all you logs will be on one or the other. Now if you call them they can switch for you, so if you logs are printed or saved in US form, then you go to CAN you can run CAN logs, then switch when you get back. But that is a real hassle, takes time, and is a pain if you run across the border two or three times a week. They say eventually it could be an option. The other possibility is to just run Canada logs all the time. Since the info is saved from day to day it wouldn't be that hard, but their logs look like such a mess. I assume days that you run strictly in the US you do not have to fill in all the items that only Canada requires like inspection locations and times?
Speaking of inspections, on the CAN log on the DVIR, where it has pre and post trip, then time, date, location all together .... is the time, date, location for the pre-trip or the post-trip? I have never gotten a good answer on that, along with a reference? -
So the US version of eclipse log is not legal in Canada?
