Met a Mercer step decker couple weeks ago over the weekend in Walcott IA. He dead headed from middle of Ohio for a load in Davenport IA, said he couldn't find a load in OHIO! I thought he must be nuts. He showed me the load board but it was a Sunday so slim pickings. He says guys are jumping ship pretty fast, not enough loads to go around with all the lease trucks.

He should have found something out of Ohio had he waited until Monday. Some Landstar agents post loads on Sunday evening, but most don't post on weekends.

Mercer agents don't put loads on weekend. Its 8 to 5 Monday to Friday, with lunch at 1230 to 1330.
