I think some of it has to do with the being away from home aspect and being able to deal with it, but it amazes me how many people can't read a map and/or rely too heavy on a gps. Maybe they want someone who is used to navigating the open road and not just the streets they know because they live right there.

You got that right. I worked five months last year, and will be about the same this year. Somehow I doubt they want guys like me mentoring new guys on how to maximize profit while minimizing time working. not exactly in their best interest.

    CJndaTruck Thanks this.

Its hard to mentor folks who think they already know it all. Had one asking if mercer paid iota, how do you lease on, go thrust orientation and not know that?

    CJndaTruck and spyder7723 Thank this.

One speeding ticket from April 2012. Clean otherwise.

    Doubt if you must.

Humm, temps are dropping faster then I anticipated. In VA and there is a freeze warning. Maybe I should have stayed south? LOL. Well at least it's not snow :)

And here I'm booked on a load to Colorado. I must of fallen and hit my head. Spent all day getting my snow chains and hanger bracket off my old reefer and mounting them under my flat. Of course the cross members aren't the same spacing so had to cut, weld, drill, grind, and paint.

Yeah, while I was up in Wyoming I picked up some coveralls, bakalava, and extreme weather gloves just in case I go against my better judgement (read I live in the south for a reason, but money may convince me) and decide to go north of 80 this winter. I don't mind driving in that white stuff, but I don't like working in it.

Those are the things packed away underneath everything in my boxes so I don't pull them out, but can show I have them if DOT asks
