HI guy, Just wondered what lenght of chains you guys use the most! I assume you use 3/8 grade 7. Just wondered about the lenght Thanks Kevin

 

6 25fters and 4 20fters. I will be getting 2 more 20 ft chains soon

Well, after being jerked around for 4 months, "we don't have trailers, we aren't taking any more quality trucks, oh yes we are and you are grandfathered in, oh we don't have any trailers, blah blah blah, I call in today, and guess what? we aren't taking any more quality trucks, because we don't have the freight to keep our trucks loaded. what the hell is it with Mercer? I guess 17 years driving with no accidents or tickets isn't going to cut it anymore.I've owned multiple trucks, and ran a good business for the last 8 years, sold it off to get out of trucking, and couldn't stand being off the road, I guess I screwed up big time. Good luck, I'm going to work for the competition is suppose.

 

Sounds like a hiring freeze. Common in the industry. It's slow right now. Keep ya head up. I thinks it's 30 companies to choose from.

 

Sounds like if you had a truck and a trailer you could have signed on 4 months ago.
If they say they don't have the freight, then take them for their word. Would you rather they sign you on, then you go broke because of a lack of freight.

Go sign on with a company that tells you what you want to hear. Chances are they don't have the freight they had 4 months ago either.
