Where in NJ? I'll be "somewhere" there tomorrow. loaded Fri after hours and no bill of lading or delivery address. Product sold/rented to supplier who has it delivered to their customer. In the morning maybe someone will find out where I'm supposed to take it. I know it will be southern NJ though.

Need some help Mercer drivers. I've been leased on for almost 2 months now officially on the 18th. I've been home 4 days total and have not been seeing owner operator money. Not even company driver money. I'm talking about $600 a week
. I need to find out what i'm doing wrong and how to really get a handle of things. First thing I'm sitting a LOT. I'm someone who is used to running ALL THE TIME. I'm used to running so hard I run myself into the ground. I'm sitting about 3 DAYS A WEEK ON AVERAGE PULLING VAN. Honestly I think a BIG ISSUE IS MY COORDINATOR. Called in on Friday to get switched and I'm told to try and talk to him first. I am trusting this guy to kinda guide me on how to work the system. He does nothing. He really only cares about the load on my trailer at the moment and not future loads with ends up with me sitting, I figured this out last week after sitting in Cali for 3 days empty. I didn't even talk to the man but once that whole week. I find a load I want and call him and 30min later he calls me back saying somebody else got it, but i spoke wiht you 30 min ago!!! Did he just have his head up his butt for 25 of those min? Another guy that signed on with me said the same thing. The only time he gets good loads is if another office calls him by accident. I just learned how to use the advanced board a week ago. My question is we can BOOK our own loads can't we? Is there a way to go around this idiot in the meanwhile till i get him switched. He talks me out of loads that I think are good only so I can sit in dead Jacksonville florida for 3 days. EVERY WEEK I'M SITTING 3 DAYS! $600 a week is not gonna pay my bills, for that I can become a company driver. I read on here that ya'll are booking loads for the whole week...HOW? If I'm in Louisville and see a load going to atlanta picks up today and delivers tomorrow, how can i book for the rest of the week? I know how to get "matched" to a load but how do i get it where it's finalized and "dispatched"? I'm (TRYING) to head back to the house this week cause my wife and I are having a baby next week, but i'm only staying home for a week. But when I leave back out, I want to come out guns a blazing. Hopefully you guys can give me some advice so I can get it together. If not I may have to just leave and go back to my old company i was leased to, I thought $1.00-$1.20 a mile and 2000miles a week were bad THIS IS WORSE.!!!

Madison, IN to Orlando, FL for $2.48 a mile then try to get the GA - PrtWntwrth to Dallas, Tx for $1.27.
From Dallas I see many loads with small deadhead that go to all points of the country.
I see a bunch of loads for vans all over the place. You can book your own loads, but my dispatcher wants me to call her just to be sure I can haul it, but you are pulling a van and shouldn't have that issue.
Keep in mind that there may be trucks ahead of you in line. Sometimes you should check to see how many trucks are there.DisturbingThaPeace Thanks this. -
I'll tell you this I know of two guys that left last week. One guy would book a load only to have it taking from him before going to load it and I'm talking about booking a load that picks up in two days than getting told at the last min
The other guy mercer was lying to him was staying parked for days also he would see a load and his coordinator would be on the phone saying he didn't see any matches when he would be looking at one posted
I been looking at there board and no way I would haul freight at what it's being offerd. If it pays over $1.50/mi it's short haul most loads are $1.58-$1.80 unless it's going to a bad spot than it's paying $2/mi over size loads I see for under $2/mi
Mercer needs to take a step back if there going to keep drivers. That first in first out system is not working anymore with the number of trucks they have. A coordinator can not keep up with 30-40 trucks a day at 30 trucks that only gives them 16min per truck to find and book loads 12min a truck with 40 trucks. I think when you get off the phone with them they move on to the next driver and never think of you again unless you call back
And mercer needs to get some outside sales people instead of hiring all these new drivers get some work for the drivers you have nowvolvodriver01, rusty2222, SHC and 1 other person Thank this. -
