Call the agent and ask. got to keep in mind that the computer system only has so many presets for the agent to choice what the commodity is, if you see a load that says conveyors, it could just be the rubber belting. Or it could be the chain track.

 

I've thought of doing that myself with trucks and trailers. However being able to collect the money, unless deducted from revenue by Mercer, is a real pain in the ***. I've tried several stuff to let guys make payments and have always had to chase down my money, or "steal" the truck back. In the past Mercer has refused to allow such arrangements, until the made the deal with Quality to take out the payments, just as they do with trailers. If they would do that there would be a bunch of trucks and trailers available at more affordable prices. However people without money still can't pay for repairs and they they give you back a wrecked piece of equipment. Just basing this on my experience and of other guys I know who have tried to offer people fair deals.

 

And with a truck you can pay off in 2-3 years you'd have a trade in.

 

####. For $4K a month I could be getting three pretty decent trucks not one!

 

Not likely to fix drive time, any changes that are made do not replace what was originally there. Any change has to be explained. Also, they know that things happen and once in awhile people may end up over hours by a small amount, don't make a habit of it though. DOT on the other hand doesn't care if you're over by one second, it's a violation.

besides what can they do now, make you get elogs for having a violation?

 

I know certain aspects for running a business done it before why spend ur own money there's companies out there that will give u a line of credit.some don't know about it I already got that set up.if someone don't know I'll tell you with a line of credit u don't have to pay nothing until u use it.folks just get into something without knowing the benefits of it..

For $660 week you could get a truck from Penske with maintence and road assist. Probably with money left over.

 

That requires a security deposit/down payment, and good credit. I'm betting not very many of the guys looking into quality can meet even one of those requirements.
