Yeah, but it is awful pricey for one use device.

Anyone else have an issue with an Android device not being able to scan trips? It can take the pic, but then crashes the app.

 

The tablet needs bluetooth 2.0 and wifi capability. The ELD uses its own GPS. At least, that's what Frankie said last week.

 

Because you have the Mifi go to Best Buy or Target and tell them you need a basic android tablet with Bluetooth and wifi compatibility and tell the guy to explain to you how to do both. Take your Mifi with you. The connection with Bluetooth they'll show you in Louisville when they hook it up. Personally if I were you (because I'm biased) I'd go with a iPad or iPad mini. Either or have them help you set it up before you leave.

 

But it seems to work. Well and much less problems. But after convo with keller last week I think that's why the tablet has to have Wifi so the location is gotten from the tablet or phone

 

No, my android works the app just fine, call contractor relations, they can help

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone for all your help. I know it sounds like my husband isn't doing much, but the way we have always done the division of labor is that I do research work and he does grunt work. So far, everything seems to be going ok. I think the biggest problem we are having is trying to remember who to call for what problem.

Who should we contact when the address of the receiver isn't locate-able on Google maps or Mapquest?

 

I do absolutely everything on my phone for Mercer, ELD included. I have never had a problem that I wasn't able to figure out myself, then again I am young and I grew up with this technology. Android all the way if you are tech savy.
