It's been 3 months. It's not bad. Not killing it but I'm making money. First load was end of first week in November. It's laid back, run when you want.

Not sure anyone is really killing it right now. But if your making money now you will kill it when it picks back up. When it does remember how things are right now and stash a good portion of that killing away. Then you will never have to worry.

This right here is the key. Stash it away when it's easy to make so you can survive when it's lean. This is the worst rates I've seen in several years.

Can someone clear up a rumor? I heard that a having a "all" aluminum trailer is not advisable @mercer as it will restrict you from getting military loads due to some restrictions they have. True or false?

Do you have wood nail strips? I've done Mil loads that wanted all wood decks but took my combo because I have nail strips.

    Dakine Thanks this.

A few loads ask for all wood floor, a few loads ask for no arch. So yes all aluminum, you give up something. But all aluminum allows you to haul more weight and much better resale value. A combo still has an aluminum floor.

Get what you want and can afford. I have an all aluminum flat, and would not want a combo nor all steel. That's just me, others feel different, neither of us are wrong.

Yes, nail strips are a must, one down the middle and one down each side

    Dakine Thanks this.
