Than I have a problem mercer app does not work on my phoneit use to the tec dept has tried on 4 differant occasions to fix . It says no response ftom metcer web. Guess they need to fix it than

 

It is my understanding that tracking the load is part of it. But most of it is IFTA.
All the details are still sketchy on my end however I'm being led to believe we may have to report our own at some point. I do not know that for sure.
I did read that we are required to have the tracking feature on at all times while operating a vehicle. I will try to forward more information as it comes in.

 

I will either be in Louisville on June 30 or I won't. I just don't know. Drivers say it's not to bad, but that's not the point! The point is getting from point A to point B safely. But enjoying my time doing it.

Being under someones thumb while doing it, is not enjoying it. Every time you put the truck in gear...............

This industry is going to hell in a hand bag. Soon we will all be like Prime, 65MPH and ELD. The only owner operator with an advantage will be husband/wife teams.

In my opinion pay will not go up, it will create a driver shortage. But this shortage will be filled by training people getting out of prison, training Mexicans, eastern Europeans and Muslim refugees.

This is a rant, but I have been in this industry since the mid 70s and been watching the decline for years.

This was not brought on by the cowboys and outlaws. It was brought on by the ATA wanting to get rid of the independent because even with all of the big company's advantage THEY never could compete with a safe hard working owner operator.

An owner operator always could take a load and deliver it faster, safer and without damage. They could not compete with that. So legislate us down to their level,

 

Dude, most of us walk downtown every time we are in louisville. The street that separates the drivers lounge from orientation has cameras along the entire walk. It's safe as anywhere in this country. That's heading east towards downtown. Never go west on foot.

 

Cool. We just thought about walking to the bat factory on Saturday and someplace to watch the super bowl on sunday.

There's a Hard Rock Cafe, Applebee's, and a sports bar (don't remember the name) downtown, just a few blocks walk.

 

Oh yes, the hard rock. Home of the 25 dollar margaritas. That was an expensive night.

If you stay on the street i mentioned above, just past the bat factory is a really nice steak house with a bar in it. They will have the game on, and none of the riff raff a regular sports bar attracts.
