I use the tracking system now but when I was there a month ago they said they were making provisions to use the tracking system as a way to keep up with your IFTA tally as well.
    Has that started yet ?

    I never run that fast.
I try to keep it nailed at 68.
I tell u what ...this little cascadia I'm rolling these days sure doesn't compete with my old Pete.
Me an mr. Pete couldn't see eye to eye on fuel costs so we parted ways at the freightliner dealership. We had a decent 6 year relationship.

I must be crazy because I like mine this way when I am running my fuel mpg I have my mileage saved for any given day just have to look it up if I didn't have to send it in I would get lazy and stop writing it down

    Off topic:
I was up at the TA in kenly,Nc on Tuesday.
Emptied out earlier that day an was just hanging out there until i picked my load up the next morning.
As I was clearing my deck of loose debris I see this beautiful Pete pull up with an even nicer rgn attached to it. I mean this guy had all the bells & whistles on this thing. The rgn was lit up like a bullhauler trailer it had so many lights on it. About 15 minutes later this guy walks up an takes a look at my truck an he goes "looks like somebody just visited Louisville not too long ago!"
I replied back how could you tell?
(Extremely long unit number of course)
Turns out...he's he rgn guy that just strolled thru a minute ago. He goes "have you had dinner?" I reply "no"
He says well come on in an let's grab some dinner.
To make a long story short I sat with this guy for over 2 hours at the dinner table while he pretty much gave me every piece of valuable info I could think of for mercer. We talked equipment,Lane choices, agents, load board positions the whole nine!
Nicest guy you would wanna meet. An from years of hauling I think everybody knows the rgn guys have this "unwritten rule" that they don't deal with any other truckers on the road. Sorta like a arrogancy thing I guess. You can barely get one of those guys to even speak let alone give you any help. When I left that dinner table I had an even clearer outlook on mercer.

P.s. After going out to check out his truck an trailer an me playing around with the detachable neck an air ride controls on it I think I may have been an rgn guy in my previous life reincarnated lol!!!

Nice tale. It's been my experience that almost all the drivers here at Mercer are like that. I have met some really great people here and it's one of the reasons I like this place.

Just a quick thought. Delivered at Ft. Benning today, got over to the delivery spot, no forklift. SFC (3up2dn) Dulaney gets good old fashioned man power over there. About 20 fresh faced privates, some clearly 18 years old to literally unload it by muscle faster than a fork lift. I am humbled every time I go to these bases, kids, I mean kids, green as grass taking the oath to defend this country and they do whatever is asked of them. Humbled I am.
