Mercer may break it down by division in Louisville, but they don't on the MCS-150. I wasn't suggesting you judged people at all. I've read enough of your posts to know you don't.

And in my class, we had about 10-12 people. 2 SD, 3 van, rest flats. Half of us were lease trucks, half were already owned. I only really talked to a couple of people in class, but ive ran into a few others and most of our class is still here. Some are struggling, but making it, others arent. 1 guy never wanted to be more than a day from home with a brand new Pete, couldn't make money. Looks like he finally learned and has at least started going out a week or so now. A few have turned in the lease truck and bought a used one. However, I'm not sure any stayed van and stayed here. The only van person I talked to switch to flat within a couple of months.

They haven't grown that fast. That would assume no one left. We all no that is not true.

Also remember that a big reason mercer wants to grow their diet numbers is to maintain customers. Many customers want a carrier with a certain number of trucks. Even tho the economy being down and low freight volume effecting us, it will hurt us a lot more to lose Caterpillar, Lockheed Martin, the department of defense.

And mercer has to look out for mercer. The market will turn around, it's not an if it's a when. And when it does they want to be in position to take full advantage of it. I can't fault them for that.

I thought for a second that I had run into a 3 digit once. Then realized he was from the other Mercer Flatbed Co. Out of Spokane, WA.

I remember you doing that and the rest of us trying to get you to take a moment and try the shorter runs. And if i remember right you wanted to get a van when you came here. Fairly certain you are glad we convinced you not to do that.
Dinners on you when we bump into each other.

I did plan on starting with a van. Not sure why, I never intended to pull a van at LS. I'm glad that I went flat until I have to tarp or fold tarps in the rain or snow. LOL

And dinner is most definitely on me!
