It shows the all in rate, since with authority you are the carrier. Which is 100 per cent. You are on 75 per cent, you think mercer gets more???no. And Oscar knows this he has his own authority, as have many others of us who respond in this thread.

So, if the truck makes 1625 he has to pay his cargo insurance out of that right? And wait how many weeks to get paid?

That's funny because you fit the profile of a man that knows everything.
Seems as if you always have the correct answer for everything so I'll assume you do know everything.

I wish my coordinator told me today was good Friday. I'm looking for a load. I could of grabbed one yesterday, but I was being lazy.

I see your frustrated just as I was when I first came to Mercer. It took me a solid 3 months to figure out what works for me. I live in Texas & I pull a box. So if you think the odds are against you I truly have you beat there.

It's spring, and things are picking up. At least they are on my side. I finally left the house last week & now I'm booked up for the next 2 weeks all military loads. Am I running where I want to run....absolutely not. But if it pays I pull it. Plus my DH is ridiculously low this year compared to 2015 and my revenue is much higher so far this year.

I know you definitely aren't thrilled with some of things Mercer does. I just had my entire load I am on right now rearranged on me this morning. Now I'm going 700 miles out of my way & getting paid 30 cents less a mile for the difference in mileage then what the load originally paid. I'm not happy, but the agent did me right & got me a great load after I drop this one, DH is 39 miles. That is very uncommon pulling a box here & it's just shy of $2/mile.

If it helps, I have been here 2 years and I still learn things at Mercer even today. Some of the stuff I am caught off guard about has actually benefited me once I let it go & rolled with the punches. I have a very bad problem with losing my cool very quickly & am very stuck in my ways. With that said, I have learned to relax a bit and take things for what they are. If I'm not happy with the rate, I don't pull it.

You would be surprised what calling an agent can do....I tend to pull some loads I don't wanna pull but get taken care of on the way back out of that area. Every job/company is the same to me....you take it for what it is. If you don't like it leave. I'm not directing that at you, it's just how I look at the big picture.

Just so you don't think I'm all white girl wasted on blue kool-aid or whatever these guys preach about....I'm not 100% happy with things here myself. But I have figured out what works for my own situation. I wish I could get more money out of the house, but I know where I live. One thing I have learned is that there is a boom in the power plant sector every spring....Lots of great paying loads out of Texas back to Georgia. Obviously all van, but I learned what works for me where I live.

What does that have to do with the rate?
Do u know what this guy pays for cargo insurance? Better yet do you know what his costs to operate are lower or higher than yours? Lol. Who cares what he pays.
That wasn't the point nor does it matter when you don't even know what his expenses are. Some guys can survive off of 1.30 a mile. Some can't.
I could very well survive off a 1.30 but I refuse to do so. I didn't buy a 80k rig to make company driver pay.
You guys seem to forget I mentioned before that I never came here to make more money, I knew that mercer couldn't match the money I was making as a independent. I came here for more consistency an eluding most of the responsibility of having your own authority.
Unfortunately, their system isn't matching up to how I want to run. I refuse to camp out 2 days waiting on a load an I refuse to deadhead 300 miles for a load anytime I DONT wanna sit.
I've done more deadheading in the 4 months I've been here than I've done in the past two years

Your rate is similar to his. Once you take the 26% rate out of it that Mercer gets for flats. It's an apple to bannas comparison.

Ok let me try to break this down as simple as possible. I KNOW WHAT THE PERCENTAGE IS FOR MERCER.
that's not my point. My point is why isn't that load paying 1625 TTT from the start??? On that particular lane.
I have an issue with certain lanes that I know pay decent money but the rates are undercut on mercer board.

In other words, I see a load on mercer board paying 1.50 an i call a broker with those same loads an he's offering me 2.80 for it. Explain to me how you still come out better pulling the load for mercer instead.
