Did CJ give you approval to post that?
CJndaTruck Thanks this. -
I ran over there a good bit. The paperwork is not as bad as it use to be. Mercer has it down to an easy process. Other than the paperwork u just need ur passport. I never pulled loads out of Canada back into the US. Now, I did meet several flatbed drivers all over Canada leased to Mercer that brought lumber back over all the time.Driverdad and TaylorMade407 Thank this.

The run open on fast track uses what they call a girdle. It slides up a channel on outside edge of head board then you stretch. It around the tarp and hook on inside of head board , holds the tarp to front. And keeps the sides of it in tight. Might no be a as big a pain as it sounds, the one with you could take off if you had several loads you might not need it.Ubu Thanks this.

Thanks for the info
Did you deadhead back ?
Did the load pay enough to cover that ? -
Anyone running tinted windows? If so how much %?

I always had 2 DH back. Everytime I went to either Ontario or Quebec I got loads right in Buffalo or Vermont without much DH, like under 100 miles. Kinda lucked out honestly. If I went to Alberta I ate big miles to pick up heavy loads but decent paying out of Montana. I went to Nova Scotia a couple times as well, you don't wanna know what the DH was, lol!
But to answer ur last question yes!!! They always paid me more than enough to DH out. Obviously what's enough for me might not be enough for you. Keep that in mind! 2 customers that Mercer has will pretty much pay you what you ask for within reason of course. But if I averaged over $2/mile for all miles round trip I was pretty happy.
I would pull 1 load up, DH out and pull another load towards my house, then take a short run home. 2 weeks was the average roundtrip for my Canadian runs and then I would go home for 2 or 3 weeks. Hopefully that answers if they pay enough.HalpinUout, CJndaTruck, Highway Sailor and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah that pretty much answers it . Thanks for the info .Truckin_Texas91411 Thanks this.
