worked out great at the last minute that we were all able to meet up like that. The mother's day visit has been on the books for two months, not doomed, all part of the grand blue-Kool-Aid plan ....

I guess I already told you but I'm kinda pissed I could have loaded right behind you. Made the call to see if I could load yesterday and was told it had to be today. Then I asked the shipper today and he said he'd have preferred I got it off his dock yesterday. Gave me his card and cellphone and said call him direct next time. Oh well, that's truckin'

get the truck lite ones, not some off brand. and be SURE to get the latest version that has the nearly invisible heating wires in the lens. That way you don't have to deal with the very real probelm of having ice and snow cover them up in just a few minutes of heavy snowfall, or lots of slush and mist coming off the road from other people, and all of a sudden you can't see. No heat coming off the LED's to melt anything, so you've been warned! I had them on my Century and loved them, bright and great pattern especially lighting up the sides of the road like I've never seen before.

Do you need to wire in a switch for the heating element, or is it always on when the lights are?

always on, very little current, just enough to gently warm the lens. Can't make it too warm, everything is plastic nowadays.

Plastic is a good thing thing with aftermarket lights though, less prone to break when a rock hits it.

yes, way more forgiving than glass ever was. But many of the plastics yellow after a couple years, and then blind everyone else out there while at the same time putting very little usable light on the road for the driver.

Well, he did it! He stopped in at Mercertown today since he was going right past to drop off April's maintenance report, and a copy of his new medical card. Got popped for a random, since he was there. He put his name on the list for a flatbed! Also got told that the wait is around 6 to 8 weeks.
