Double and even triple and quadruple brokering absolutely happens in this industry. There was a period of time when we were building up for the afgan and iraq wars it was especially bad on government loads. But the term does not apply when you are counting your carrier in the number.

I understand co-brokering is not the same as double and triple brokering, the end result is still the same, less money to the truck.

I try to find the most direct path to the people that are paying the freight bill as possible. Usually means less BS to deal with as well as more money.

That is exactly correct. You have to be quick. If you are logging in to the device then the logic is you ARE on duty. Otherwise if you are only checking hours you can log in to the "other side" of the device just to look at that.

Truckstop prices. Ripped off another mudflap backing up at a job site. I try to do the right thing and stop at a T/A to replace it. Holy ####, almost $26 for a friggin mudflap. I bought a dozen of them at the local supplier in Charlotte to cut up and line toolboxes and headache rack and that was under $100. I was going to ask for two of them, glad I didn't. Asked the manager about the price and got the standard reply "we're barely making anything on it, that's just over our price we pay." Maybe I should get a job supplying mudflats to T/A's ....

    rant over .....

For $26 that better come with a free replacement guarantee.

should be a lifetime replacement guarantee. now I remember why I had 1000 pounds of spare parts in my old truck, avoid buying parts at a truck stop for common parts that fail.

I didn't even watch the video until now, I just had a good laugh at the thread. I just watched the video, and honestly, if you, admittedly, have never worked for a company, and all of your "knowledge" is second/third hand, why would you make a video bashing something you know nothing about? I just don't get it. You're right though, full of inaccuracies. That guy made himself look like an idiot.

I needed a red airline, mine run underneath trailer., they wanted 49 bucks for one line. I can get a set for 35 dollars, I got the toolbag and hunted around till I found a 1/2 inch ferrule and repaired the old one, this was at bordentown petro
